JEE Exam Pattern

JEE Eligibility

Based on the parameters listed below as set by the National Testing Agency (NTA) JEE aspirants should meet the following requirements to be eligible for appearing in the entrance exam.

Qualifying Exam

Candidates applying for JEE should have passed their Class 12 from a recognized state or central board with PCB and English as their main or an equivalent exam. Students appearing for their Class 12 board exam can also apply for JEE entrance exam.

Age Criteria

There is no age limit applicable for candidates appearing for JEE exams.

Academic Marks

The candidate should have secured minimum marks of 75% aggregate in class 12 board or equivalent exam. If the candidate belongs to SC/ST category a minimum marks of 65% should be obtained to become eligible.

Maximum Attempts

A candidate can appear for JEE Main entrance exam for 3 consecutive years. The exam is conducted twice yearly and both can be attempted by the students.
