How is NEET different from KEAM ?
NEET is the Gateway to all the medical colleges across India both government and private colleges, even deemed institutes. KEAM, abbreviation for Kerala Engineering Architecture Medical is an entrance examination series for admissions to various professional degree courses in the state of Kerala, India. It is conducted by the Office of the Commissioner of Entrance Exams run by the Government of Kerala Even though the time duration for both the entrance exams is the same, NEET is different from Kerala Medical Entrance Examinations (KEAM) in many aspects. To apply for Kerala MBBS BDS admission for State Quota seats, candidates must be of Kerala origin. NEET Exam Pattern & Structure
There are 45 Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) each from Physics, Chemistry, Botany, and Zoology sections. For each correct response, the candidate scores 4 marks and one negative mark for wrong attempts. If the question is left unanswered no marks will be deducted. The time duration for attempting 180 questions is 3 hours and the maximum score a candidate can achieve is 720 marks.

Qualifying Examination

Candidates applying for NEET must have passed 10+2 or equivalent examination from recognized boards with Biology/Biotechnology, Chemistry, Physics and English as core subjects. Those students appearing for 10+2 are also eligible for appearing for NEET.
