How is NEET different from KEAM ?
NEET is the Gateway to all the medical colleges across India both government and private colleges, even deemed institutes. The most popular entrance exam in which almost 15 lahks students apply every year. KEAM, abbreviation for Kerala Engineering Architecture Medical is an entrance examination series for admissions to various professional degree courses in the state of Kerala, India. It is conducted by the Office of the Commissioner of Entrance Exams run by the Government of Kerala Even though the time duration for both the entrance exams is the same, NEET is different from Kerala Medical Entrance Examinations (KEAM) in many aspects. From the increased number of questions to attend to the greater stress on subjects like Maths and Chemistry, NEET is comparatively tougher than KEAM. To apply for Kerala MBBS BDS admission for State Quota seats, candidates must be of Kerala origin. It is required of all candidates to qualify NEET 2019 to be considered eligible for MBBS admission in Kerala.
NEET Exam Pattern & Structure
There are 45 Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) each from Physics, Chemistry, Botany, and Zoology sections. For each correct response, the candidate scores 4 marks and one negative mark for wrong attempts. If the question is left unanswered no marks will be deducted. The time duration for attempting 180 questions is 3 hours and the maximum score a candidate can achieve is 720 marks.

Qualifying Examination

Candidates applying for NEET must have passed 10+2 or equivalent examination from recognized boards with Biology/Biotechnology, Chemistry, Physics and English as core subjects. Those students appearing for 10+2 are also eligible for appearing for NEET.

Age Requirement & Limit

Candidates must have completed 17 years as on December 31st of the respective year of appearing for the qualifying exam. The upper age limit clause is removed until the Supreme court declares its verdict on it.

The aggregate marks of PCB subjects are considered for qualifying. Based on the category of the candidate the qualifying marks varies.

Candidates can attempt NEET exams any number of times as per the latest amendments by the authorities.

No. NEET exam is conducted offline. The candidates will be provided with OMR sheets for marking the answers.

You can edit only some sections of the application. Viz. birthplace, the medium of the question, choice of NEET exam city, address, academic info and parents’ name.

10. What is the question pattern of NEET 2020?

The questions for NEET entrance exam-2020 will be from Physics(45), Chemistry(45) and Biology(90). 180 questions will be asked for 720 marks. The candidates should mark the answers in an OMR sheet. The exam is conducted in 11 languages.
